Kari Morrison MS, CMHC

Clinical Therapist/ Owner

I use a holistic person-centered approach and believe each individual has the ability to find the answers within. I view therapy as a place to explore the different parts of self that contribute to the whole of a person. I love helping others find the places within that feel blocked or stuck and help them address what is needed to help clients move forward with renewed hope. I believe as one begins the healing journey they will become more in tune with mind, body, spirit connection and can tap into their unique strengths to create a life with meaning and happiness.

I specialize in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables individuals to heal from the symptoms of emotional distress from trauma or difficult life experiences. EMDR addresses issues that may be blocking life progress. I also use various other modalities including ACT, CBT, IFS and polyvagal theory catering therapy to specific individuals needs.

I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, relationship issues and faith issues.  I see clients from ages 16+. *My schedule is limited to morning/mid day appointments only.*

I believe in what I do and I hold space for each individual who comes to work with me. All clients are received with dignity, respect, and kindness. In my spare time I love to spend time with my husband of 21 years and our three children. I also love art, am a wannabe baker and can't pass up a good piece of chocolate.

Therapist, Supervisor

Populations I'm passionate to work with are adults healing from childhood wounds and survivors of traumatic events. I also enjoy working with children and teens to help them navigate the unique challenges they face today. I have a unique combination with two Masters Degrees,  one in Social Work and  one in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have extensive experience with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to express your thoughts and emotions. Therapy doesn't always have to be a "sit down and talk" approach. I can incorporate sandtray, play therapy, art, games, and other creative techniques. I take into account how you learn best in order to help create a treatment plan you feel comfortable with.

Therapy can be a rough, scary road to go down, but can be one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. For any questions, I can be reached via email or phone. Please feel free to call to see if I would be a good fit to help you accomplish your goals.
